Hello,

I recently bought a set of straight slot precision screwdrivers on eBay...

This is what I thought I was buying:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/361912799256

This is what actually came:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/4bo/Draper-80797-PS1104F-Piece-Precision-Screwdriver-Set/B0162SPE86

Spot the difference?

I've requested a refund, but in the mean time, have any of you got recommendations for a decent set? I only need the straight ones as I've already got a cross-head (Philips) set.

Thanks in advance!

Stephen

I mean, they're both cheapo nasty but when you say decent do you want quality or good for the money/cheap?

Am I allowed to say "both"? :)

I'll only use them occasionally, so don't want to spend too much. i.e. £10 (+p&p) would be high enough I think.

Hmmm that looks like a good deal - 14 tips? Ordering while the iron is hot!

Thank you! ;)

Hope to hear how they are!
Yes! Got them yesterday (despite forgetting what I'd gone in for and only remembering after I was back in the car park!)

They look and feel really good. Only gripe is that the box could have been smaller as a) there's a lot of wasted space (and plastic!) and b) it would take up excessive room in a toolbox.

Anyway, one plus I've noticed is that the handle has a collet type grip which can be tightened to hold the bit in place (they don't turn freely even without this tightened up) which could probably be used to hold a small drill bit if one so desired. Although having said that there's not much movement in the "jaws" so it would only probably take one size...

All in all good value for money I think. I'll save my comment about the price of other stuff in Wickes for later!

Hopefully they're not made of cheese grade powdered metal :)
