Hi,
I am removing my internal porch door, which has a ten pence sized contact in the door and a contact in the door frame which has a wire going off somwhere (magnetic reed switch?). When I set level A the closing of the internal door sets the alarm after about 7 seconds or so.

Can I remove this reed switch from the circuit? I dont want to put the switch onto my new front door. I have re-programmed the panel for an exit time delay of 20 seconds, but it will still only set once I close the internal door.

Thanks for your help.

Yes you can remove contact from that circuit .
You need to change the the circuit from final door set to timed entry exit.
Have you got a pir sensor on the hallway ?
Change that to timed entry exit.

A final door set circuit will only set when the panel see the door has been opened and then closed otherwise the alarm will not set
Hope this helps you

Thanks. Can I remove the redundant wire to the alarm control unit?
I'm pretty sure I have set the level A to timed exit. Yes, there is a PIR in the hallway.

Yes
You will need to link that circuit out with a wire link or program zone not used.
Do not remove cable until you are happy the hall circuit is starting the entry timer correctly

Thanks.
Any tips for the programming side of things? Not too ofay with programming the 9752

You will need engineer code to change programming.
Go to option 39

39 ✅ 0 ✅ this will make system to timed entry exit
Then leave engineer mode and test to see if works ok
If all ok the job done
Please hit thanks if ok

Yes i have done that already. As you said above, I still need to make the Hall PIR as timed exit and the door swtich to not used.

Put alarm into walktest mode and open front door and see what zone number displayed and do same with hall
Or set alarm trigger hallway and see what zone number displayed
Do same with front door but you will need to leave if 1 minute before timing off only when outside bell rings then look a display

Great, Very helpful. Thanks.
Once I know the zones they are on, do you know what programming commands to use?
