I am trying to change a drive belt on my Panasonic SD-2500 breadmaker but just cannot get the appliance apart. I have removed every screw that I can see but other than making the inner, steel chamber loser there is no sign that I can remove the outer case. Does anyone know the secret step?

I see you haven't had any reply Ray but if your SD2500 is anything like my SD255 then it's the screws through the rubber feet that need removing which releases the innards. Once I had removed these I had to disconnect the cable and lift the whole innards out.

Mine separated at the line at the top of the case. It needed a screw driver to prize the case away from the internal clips.

When I had taken mine apart I looked at the belt but suspected it was OK although it wasn't what I call very tight. As I was following another forum that suggested the cause of the paddle turning slowly was the motor capacitor I bought one of these from Maplins and this solved the problem.

The only problem I now have is unsticking the wholemeal loaf from the lid.
