I am just thinking of possibly splitting the combi circuit into two and using a Y or an S plan.

Hot taps will be running off the combi boiler, and a cylinder will be running for showers.

What I am thinking of is an accumulator type system where 40L of water is held in storage ( warm water ) when in use the water is topped up by the combi boiler.

Does it make sense ? I don't want masses of hot water stored, I have an existing hot water cylinder onsite which (system boiler) which has been converted because I loose a lot of hot water.

Thanks

you havent invented anything, this system has been going for a long time , its called solar Thermal, and good luck doing it with 40L of stored water

I have heard for solar thermal, pretty expensive to install and I hear it doesnt work with a combi ?

36 x 18 indirect cylinder and use an "s" plan

Would this work as;
run the shower...
boiler has a sensor..
water temp drops as cold water added
boiler fires up to warm water?
