How to seal dishwasher connector

Hi. Not long moved into a property where the previous owners had a dishwasher connected to the pipework under the sink. I don't have a dishwasher so the connector is now not connected to anything so when I run water down the sink it comes out of the connector. I attach a photo to show this. Is there something I can buy to cap this? Or can I unscrew this and buy something to then add in its place to cap it? I've taken a look online and in B&Q but can't see anything....

quick solution ,apply silicone to the open end ,half inch deep. you can get blanking caps ,but each manufacturers is different size / thread etc. I can't tell from photo which yours is. others may do.
