Hi, I've installed a Hotpoint LTF11M132C integrated dishwasher and attached the front decor door panel as instructed however the dishwaher door does not fully open to 90 degrees because the decor door panel is touching the bottom of the machine when the door is 3/4's open....

Any ideas??

is the door too high, should be the same height as appliance door.

side view DW /door open. head on frontal view in situ with door closed and also open would be good.

if you remove the decor door does it then open full 90 degrees ? if so then the decor door has to be fitted a tad higher ,won't need much to do it. of course it won't be same as doors either side so can you then lower the DW on its adjustable feet ?

might be stating the obvious tony but have a look underneath ( use a mirror) with door open and look for other obstructions ,packing /cabinets each side or their legs etc. if it is actually the back of the bottom edge of decor hitting the appliance maybe plane away ,at an angle ,and then seal with PVA. a bit drastic I know !!!

The door panel needs to go higher, so you will have to lower the dishwashers legs.

So in essence the top of the door panel won't be sat flush with the dishwasher door, it will slightly be higher?

If you read the fitting instruction, it will tell you that you have to cut away a section of the plinth to allow the door to slide down under the dishwasher. I beleive ikea do a kit to allow the door to slide upwards as you open it. Check back on previous threads, and you'll find the solution.

Cheers. There's no plinth on as yet, the door panel is hitting the appliance front so I'll give dropping the dishwasher ago first

Sorry Tony, I've obviously missunderstood the issue, but I think the Ikea solution will still do the job, as it allows the door to slide over the dishwasher door as you lower it. But somethings going wrong, because the door should be hitting the plinth (which it will still do when you fit it), not the bottom of the dishwasher. As others have said, you need to look carefully to find out where it's catching, because you shouldn't be getting a problem at this stage. the Ikea solution will require you to move the dishwasher back a bit, so check that that can be done.
