Are auto reel hoses any good? Need pivot.

The main thing I want from a new hose is for it to be easily wall mountable, and have a pivot so it turns in the direction I am pulling. The only hoses that seem to do this are the mega expensive auto reel ones.

I like the idea of an auto reel in theory, but are they reliable? Seems like there is more to go wrong!

Or, is there something out there that will allow me to put a normal hose reel on a pivoting wall mount?

I picked up an auto reel hose from Aldi a few weeks back for £40. It's been fitted for a couple of weeks now and no issues to report other than the hose returns to the reel at a fair old lick if you don't hold on to it.
You may be lucky and find one in your local branch.

I have an expensive one I guess, of the bright yellow variety, I have had it for two winters, it still works as specified and it is an absolute dream as opposed to storing 40m of hose etc etc. That said, UV on the external plastic has already started to brittle things up and the return spring is (I estimate) 25% less than when I bought it, just in time for the warranty expiry assuming a linear degradation. In summary, enjoy the 3-5 years of convenience and expect to replace it. :)

I spotted this one yesterday, thought it was a bit odd.
