Be Interesting to read and I mean that in a non confrontational way as I confess to knowing pretty much the square root of FA about boilers, but surely this defies physics/thermodynamics?

Intergas is pushed on here many times so I would have thought the Intergas lads would jump at the chance to explain just how these efficiencies can be achieved.

Maybe they count the meter index going backwards as another moving part???

you cannot be more efficient than 100% unless the baseline is less than 100%
in other words if you take a boiler thats 65% efficient and call that the baseline you are comparing to a 120% efficient boiler would be 1/5th more efficient than 65% or 78%efficient
but they would have to specify as its a non standard comparason and not covered by any recognized standard

I recently had the gable end wall of my loft conversion painted... the 10 litre tub of weathershield proclaimed that it would cover the area I needed to, in 2 coats. I ended up having to buy another 20 litres!

Vaillant used to give figures for example of

An 837 for example

80/60 12.0-28
40/30 12.9-30.3

108% eff at lower flow temp.
