I'm researching replacement alarm systems for a DIY install and Texecom seems to be the manufacturer that features quite a lot on here and other security boards that I've stumbled across. However, their installation manuals and software (Wintex) on the website are restricted to registered installers only. How are the DIYers out there getting hold of these? Also I'm assuming Texecom wouldn't provide any support for the DIY installer, would that be correct?

I'm sure this will have come up before but I can't find anything searching through the forum posts so far (maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing).

Texecom give great support direct to DIY'ers through their web forum, instant chat, email or by old fashioned telephone calls. I've always found them to be really helpful.

Ah great, thanks for the replies both of you (y)

Just had a web chat with them yesterday on a problem with a shock sensor, and I got the impression that I knew more than he did. I registered on the website, but didn't get an email to complete the registration.

It might take a little while to come through, if not, try with a company name entered as well, if you didnt last time.

You can then download the manual and software from the website.
