Hiya,

Other half had a bath last night and one of the downlighters started doing this after maybe 20 minutes of being on? Continued for about 10 minutes before stopping and being fine for the next 2 hours.

Could it just of been overheating? Its been really warm the last few days and with it being a new build there is loads of insulation over the fitting and our loft was easily in the 30+'s yesterday (had to pop up there). Thinking its unlikely to be a loose connection as the blinking is so regular.

What voltage lights are they, could be a faulty driver? If there is plenty of insulation in the loft, these lights and any connected drivers do need ventilation and should not be covered by it.

240v been up in loft to take a look. All 3 downlighters are connected together, can't see any transformers nearby.

So how do I create ventilation without creating ventilation

To add some closure, turned out to be the bulb being faulty... possibly from heat? not sure. Over the weekend it started refusing to turn on at all other than a brief flash and a loud click repeatedly. Does the same in another fitting. Replacing them with some cool white 5.8w led's.
