Hi everyone. ..we are building an extension and have planning permission. I drew the plans myself to save money... however it has been necessary to change the shape and location of the windows slightly to fit them in! Do I need to inform the planning people.... or will it be OK? ??

They are less tall (from.1500 to 1200) and wider (1200 to 1500) see...wrong way round on plans.... roocky error!

Cheers folks....

Size of windows may be an important issue or it may not.

If it was just a typo on the plans probably not. You have 2 choices, just crack on and hope it goes unnoticed or submit a non-material amendment (£26 fee) although I have had the planners ask for a new application for a single window so the former might be preferable.

Think they are £28? A non material amendment might be fine, but it's at the planners discretion if it is non-material in it's nature or not. If it's something that's going to be overlooking or detrimental then maybe it's not considered to be non material. If it's tiny change's then it's generally probably fine.

You could maybe resubmit the application if it's a recent approval too
