SMS from Risco Lightsys Alarm

hi,

I have a Lightsys alarm fitted and all works well. Recently I fitted the GSM module to the alarm.. I defined 2 FM numbers, and the event on which I which i want to be notified..

All worked well:

I could set, unset, and check the status via SMS
On ARM I would get a message. (just for testing)
On selecting the test option, it would get the test message

The other day we forgot to turn off the alarm, off it went when we entered the house.

I disarmed the alarm, but neither FM number got a SMS..

Looking in the manual, some of the options are causing confusing.. Hope that someone might be able to help clarify the options, or stop whats set incorrectly.

These are of particular confusion:

Disarm Stop Follow Me
YES: No follow me report during Stay arming for alarm or tamper
NO: Follow me report for alarm or tamper will be established during

Disable Report at Stay
YES: No follow me report during Stay or Group arming for alarm or tamper
NO: Follow me report for alarm or tamper will be established during Stay arming.

yeah..
I know risco play things close to their chest. But thought someone might be able to top help.
Options 5 4 2 1 and 5 4 2 2 seem to be the same things... The wording is the same.

Have messaged him.. hope he might reply..

It's odd, works fine for arm, disarm, setting, unsetting etc... Just nothing for when the alarms is triggered.

Have you A tried activating two different sensors ( set to alarm on confirm ) ?
Or B it you leave it a minute before turning it off ?

no, but that's just to avoid annoying the neighbors.
I have a day off planned and will do some testing.

Unless there is a way to stop the bell during testing but appears not to be

Ok well, a bit more on this..

I do get the SMS from the alarm, but seem need to be active for a while before it sends the message.
This makes sense, it would be annoying for a message to be sent if your just a bit slow at entering the code..

Does anyone know how long it needs to be active for before the FM options are activated?

What are you using to know that the message has been sent ? There is a delay ( latency ) between an SMS message bing sent and it being delivered to the recipient.

Typically this a very short delay, a couple of seconds at most but it can be several hours. One provider mentions in the small print of their terms and conditons a 24 hour maximum delay.

Hi,

There is a GSM activity light on the board..

The main conclusion was taken from if I disarm the alarm within 10 seconds, I never got a SMS...

More than 10 seconds, there was always an SMS sent
