I recently had a new central heating system installed, with Worcester boiler and Oso unvented cylinder.

The electrician finished connecting the Nest up today, but I can't see how I would use the immersion heater in the cylinder (for example, in event of a boiler breakdown). Is this something that would be controlled by the Nest unit itself? I don't see any option for it in the menu.

As far as I can tell, there's no external switches on the cylinder. Just a single spur which powers everything

The cylinder only has one cable coming from it from what I can see and it's already connected to something. There's only one spur there.

I assumed there would be a separate one too, which would be switched on when needed.

The attached image, is the setup from a few days ago, prior to the electrician coming. The red line shows where a wire is coming from the cylinder at the moment and disappears behind the board, connected up to something.

The grey panel on the front looks like the position of the immersion. I expected a cable running from that too.
