My property has been added to in the past, with the addition of a 'lean to' type extension connecting the house with the 'outdoor toilet'.
The outdoor toilet flat felt roof is leaking and the pitched plastic corrugated roof sheets on the lean to section need replacing.
The lean to extension is construction from breeze block (double walled dwarf) one one and a half sides, with two doors and the toilet construction three of the four walls. The fourth being the rear wall of the kitchen.
It is not particularly easy to see the foundations that this has been built upon, however, it does look similar to the patio foundations that surround this area.
I am looking at bringing the rear of the lean to in-line with the rear of the toilet section, to create a single rear wall. Thus giving the area a little more room (as it is a utility area). Can anyone see an issue with this?
The ground has seemed able to support the existing structure for a period of years, so will adding only a very small number of blocks change that? The new roof structure will be from plastic sheeting in slate effect, thereby, reducing the amount of sunlight and heat in the space.
The basic pdf plans show the house in red, the concrete sectional garage (also built on the same concrete slab) in blue. The patio area is represented in white, with the lean to and toilet section in white.
Final sizing of the planned is 2.4m deep by 3m wide.
