Hi
I wonder if I could get some advice. I've just removed the shower fascia from the base of my shower and found that the builders have used 2" x 1" to sit the extending feet of the shower base on to because the extending feet which screw up and down to increase or decrease the height of the base off the ground didn't extend sufficiently. they've done a botch job of it and a couple of the feet didn't either reach the wood or weren't sat on it properly.
Is this shoddy practice or IF done right acceptable? Clearly this wasn't done properly and (I think) has meant the shower base has been able to move as people have stood in it by a small amount resulting in the sealant continually being pulled until it's given up twice now!
Thanks
