Hello,
I am having installed a new oven 2.3kw and induction hob 7.2kw. This is on a dedicated 6mm t+e radial circuit with a 32amp breaker. There is a 45amp cooker switch with socket above worktop and a cooker connection unit behind the oven. There is already a cable attached to the new hob but not for the oven. Which cable and size is neccasary for the oven. Also does the whole circuit sound usual.
Thanks

If an electrician is installing it he can check to see whatever cable chosen is capable of handling any fault current.

Other than that, 1.5mm² will be sufficient for 10 Amps, but 2.5mm² may be preferable.
If these sizes cannot cope with the fault current (which is extremely unlikely) then 4mm².

Yes, completely standard circuit suitable for any cooking appliance you are likely to buy.

Thanks for your advice. So i can get everything in before hand. Should the cable be 2.5mm heat resistant flex or standard 2.5 t+e used for your ringmain.

HR flex probably, although T&E isn't likely to be a problem either - cable entry is usually on the lower edge where it won't get hot and ovens are not generally moved once fitted.
