Circular saw damage after kickback?

Looks like it's spaced too far from spindle as if it's been built back up wrong. Spacer/washer wrong side of blade.

Definitely looks assembled wrong.
Some of these machines should never reach diyers hands.
There was some chap who even put a circular saw blade into an angle grinder.
He got a kick back which sliced his jugular.

Looking again at the photos the outer side of the blade is missing a flange washer so definitely installed incorrectly.

Woooow I think you guys are totally right. I've been using this thing mis-assembled for years. I checked and yeah the old blade was a little thinner so i guess it never rubbed. Wow that's embarrassing, thanks guys :)

In image 2560, it looks like you have got...

Flange -> washer -> blade -> bolt

When it should be...

Flange -> blade -> washer -> bolt

Well done rsgaz. Sometimes the simplest answers are the right one. He's refitted the new blade the wrong way round.
