I’ve posted here and there on the forum about the house I’m trying to make habitable at the moment (heating, lighting, etc etc), and received a lot of help, thanks

Just so you guys have some idea of what I’m up against, today I tackled the garage – or part of it – tearing down all the wonky shelves etc the previous owner put up.

Here’s a couple of pics… first they put those big angle brackets on the walls, with some sort of screws with a square depression in the heads, which I’ve never seen before; then put WAY too long screws through from the bottom up through the bits of chipboard they used for shelves, so that there’s about an inch of sharp screw sticking out the top. In some cases, unaccountably they’ve jammed a couple through from the top AS WELL.

Could somebody advise me where I might get bits to extract those screws? Some of the ceiling light fittings (chandelier types) are attached with them too

Don’t want to pay a fortune… this place is a black hole for money, and once I’ve taken the square screws out I don’t expect I’ll ever use the bits again…

Have lots of square drive screw, useful when fixing security device since few people carry the driver to remove.
