they are lintels, probably made of stone or concrete. If Victorian there were various factory-made imitation stone products.

you may be obliged to use a steel lintel as well if you can't prove their strength.
Possibly you could order modern RC repro through a builders merchant or restoration specialist.
the old house next door may also have had a wooden lintel on the inside, for cheapness, probably rotten by now.

Thanks. Probably true. We sold that house in 1990 but retained the lock up workshop on the corner plot next door that we are hoping to build on. If we get permission, I’ll have a lot more questions to ask. Planning dept told my architect that I need to build a bay similar to that house (can be larger but doesn’t need to be as ornate), install matching lintels and a Victorian style front door so looks like we might be getting planning permission.
do a search for reconstituted stone lintels there are plenty of suppliers out there, can be structural or non structural. If you need a secondary lintel, best place from an aesthetic point of view is above the stone lintel. will have to anyway if they have curved tops.

This is the actual email I had - I just wondered what they were called out of curiosity.
“they want the bay to look like 182 it can be slightly wider and less ornate and the detail above the first-floor windows to match 182's, also a panelled door similar to victorian. it is all doable so I will amend the drawings unless you object.
The decision date is 18th october.”
When I did work on this......
....house (garage conversion) I was able to get a local company in Cannock, Staffs to make me up a pair of stone headers. They are 100mm deep (same as the masonry) and sit atop a regular steel lintel.
Chase Stone and Concrete. They got the colour, texture and pattern spot on.
I had some done by south coast stone a few years back. They were chamfered ones though, not sure whether they make any shape to a design. I messed up though, put one above an upstairs window and its got a hairline crack, as i didn't tell the builder to also use a steel lintel, so I guess they weren't structural, oops
