Pipe wont budge from Union nut

taking a rad off the wall for decorating.

The union nut is undone (just spins and can see the PTE tape) but the pipe won’t move away. Any ideas?

Can you bump the radiator to the right, just a fraction ?

Seriously? A fair tug does nothing

I’ve undone the other side, maybe less water will help...

There will be a stub of pipe with an olive on.....did the right side disconnect ok?

Get a screwdriver. Insert between the slight gap in the 2 faces. Tap sharply.

I’ve done that (accompanied by sharp intake of breath) and it worked - cheers

Glad to hear it .

I probably should not have used the word "sharply". But the experienced have a feel for it.
