I've got a Vaillant Turbomax Plus 837e.

Lately it's had a few instances where it just doesn't deliver hot water. Possibly happens once a week, I press the 'reset' button, the boiler restarts and all is well.

However, this morning it's worse. A reset doesn't help. If I turn the mains power off for 10 minutes, it seems to work briefly, but soon gives up again.

The green light is flashing, I hear the fan start, followed by a 'click', but that's as far as it gets. No error codes that I can see.

I'm know I'm going to have to call a heating engineer, but it'd be nice to have a bit of a head-start.

Any help appreciated.

Sorry, I must have misread the message of this forum...

"Welcome to DIYnot.com
DIY can be both challenging and rewarding - this is where DIYnot.com aims to help. Our expert teams have brought together hundreds of information pages. Why not Do It Yourself?"

But what you are actually inferring is that there is no help. It's actually just a thinly-veiled clique for tradesmen to canvass only those they can make money from.

I wonder what it's like when the tables are turned? I work in the motor-trade. I'd love the opportunity to deal with you should a fault arise on your car/van. Or do you just rock up, wallet open, pants down ready?
