Almost ready to fibreglass the 30 square metre roof of my workshop. It's flat-roofed with a slight gradient for water runoff.

Could someone recommend a good fibreglass kit please, perhaps provide a link?

Thanks all

Hi Mark,

I fibre glassed my double garage roof, I though it would be a lot harder but it was quite easy. I used the company below but I think they have just changed their name as they sent me an email, give them a call. I spoke to a girl called Sandra who was very helpful:

Hi Herts

Thanks for the link, I checked it out. For comparison sake I found this earlier on:

https://apexfibreglassroofingsuppli...ts/products/heavy-duty-fibreglass-roofing-kit

So far I've got the:

- Fibreglass Roofing Kit (Resin, Topcoat, Fibreglass Matting, Hardener, Roll of Tape)
- Tools (Buckets, Brushes, Rollers, Acetone, Mixing Sticks)
- Raised Trims
- Drip Trims.

Are the Universal Corner Trims essential or decoration?

Anyone know what else I need?

Thanks all.

The Universal Corner Trims make it a lot easier to join the corners. Otherwise you will need to mitre the joints which is quite fiddly unless you are good with a multi-tool.

These posts always seem like a dodgy invite to promote, so to be impartial i've added a few really good suppliers that sell GRP roofing kits.

1. https://www.grproofing.com/kits - Direct from manufacturer and free delivery, not the cheapest but really high quality and great tech support
2. https://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/category/diy-roof-packs - Really good bunch of people and competitive prices, if that's key
3. http://www.matrix-roofing.co.uk/products/ - Again nice bunch of people, but they don't seem to sell packs on their website but i'm sure if you gave them a call they would do.

Universal corners aren't essential but they will save you time, especially if it's your first job and you don't want the hassle of forming corners from glass.

What decking are you using? if you don't use tongue and groove boards then you'll need to tape the seams using fibreglass bandage

OSB but not OSB T&G so yes, bandages are in order

Thanks all for the links and advice, much appreciated!
