I got to change out a leaking tap, it is a mixer type in a bathroom sink. I have attached a picture of the underside, does a new tap come with everything new, ie the 2 long bolts, plate which is guess secures the tap in place ?, whats a good make of tap.

Yes, it'll come with everything. Bristan is a decent make.

The current tap has a small lever / rod at the back to activate the plug hole. Will a new tap work with the old plug hole / pop up waste as long as there is a lever / rod with it or do i need to change both the tap and pop up waste

If you really want to have a pop up waste,Might aswell get a basin tap bundled with a pop up waste kit that will fit, first time.

give them corroded nuts a spray :cautious: with wd40 or plusgas spray dismantling fluid, well before attempting removal.
