Turbomax Plus 824E F.43 Fault

Hi there,

I was hoping there maybe one or more of you kind chaps out there that maybe able to help me please.

Have the following fault F.43 on my Vaillant Turbomax Plus 824e.

Been looking around and it maybe down to either a faulty or incorrect wiring Loom, how true this is I'm not sure

So after messing around Turning the boiler on/off ,hold ignition button , flicking between h/w & chw and so on it will work, then a day later or a few hours the fault comes back so I'm unclear what actions to take.
Only really started to happen now that the central heating Is required.
Divertor value sounds like its working & hw & heating also.

Say when I have the fault if I hold ignition button on the display is blank but orange light comes on and it fires up yet if I release it the fault comes on and boiler trips out.


Any advice would be grateful and appreciated

Fault F43 (I just looked it up) seems to suggest that the coding resistor is not being recognised by the main pcb (control board). This is a small daughter board plugged into the main board.

Did the fault coincide with some other 'intervention'?
Finger trouble?
Maybe a boiler leak has corrode the termnals?

In any case if you can't Google the fault code yourself you may not be competent to go looking around a pcb, so call in a gas fitter who can repair boilers.

This is from the manual for the OP's boiler, unless I'm looking at the wrong one

The same info I found when using google, not sure where the coding resistor info is from but defiantly helps me more if it is that is my problem and not just the faulty loom suggested in the manual as that doesn't really tell me much more.

The fault didn't have any other intervention beforehand
When removing the front panel,no suggestion of any former leaks or visible corrosion.

Be nice if I could just get a replacement sister board if that's the case but hard to locate new or used .
