A1 Alarm manual

Those numbers won't work either. To be fair, you should probably get a whole new bell box that actually has a backplate as those are way more secure than those without one.

Hi Angie17
I'll get the book out in the morning and come back to you with all the contact info in it. Meantime, do look at all replies in this thread for other sources of help.
Hang on in there
H.

Thanks I'm grateful. I am also checking other replies and have learned the exact same alarm is made by Response. I think your handbook will have the same numbers as mine but its worth checking so thanks.

Hi all and especially Angie17
Details from my old A1 alarm book.
A1 Security & Electrical Ltd, 16 Brickfields, Huyton, Merseyside, L36 6HY
Installation help line 01514 890 166 General 01514 804 455.

Also in the book is this number as a possible source of help. 0208 908 6583, but I don't know who the company is.
And this note for Home Safe Alarms-Old alarm systems repaired and maintained. 0208 644 4972

The internal battery for mine is either a President PE 1.2 - 12 (12v 1.2 Ah) or
Yuasa NP 1.2 - 12 (also 12v 1.2 Ah) I bought this last one in Maplin's. Their ref: YJ69

A tip I was given many years ago by an A1 engineer, is how to clear corrupt data from the CPU (after a thunderstorm for instance), when the control panel starts behaving oddly:-

Make sure all door contacts are closed and no one is moving near a PIR.

Press Reset, Enter the code, Press Zone Omit, Press 0, Press Arm, Wait until system arms, Press Reset, Enter code.

I hope some of this is useful. Good luck
H
