hi,

I am aware these boilers aren't the best but mines been fairly good it's about 11 years old now. I've had to keep topping up the pressure every few days and I think the cause is the boiler leaking, I notice water weeping from inside. I've attached a picture, it seems to be coming from the top left where a pipe connects to the black component. Will this be expensive to sort out ? Many thanks for any help or advice

Edit- I've replaced the photo as it's coming from the internal bit that I'm guessing I should not open up?

What model is the boiler.
I take it that picture is rotated 90 degrees ccw from vertical!
Looks like an auto air vent.
Can try cleaning but may need replacing.

Need better photos and more angles to identify exactly that fitting - diverter valve? Again, boiler model required.

Hi, thanks for your help. Sorry it's a condensing fanned combi, csi 85 b (t)

I've attached a new photo there is a drip from the screwed down metal casing just left of where the wire comes out

Sorry photo attached

The silver ‘metal casing’ is the combustion chamber. DO NOT OPEN IT!
If the leak is coming from inside there, you need a Gas Safe Engineer to come and open it and have a look.

I thought so, thanks for your help I do really appreciate it

No probs.
I think you may be looking at a new boiler as a new HEX on one of those heaps is not worth the £’s
