Valley help! Urgent

Hi everyone. Me again !

The good news is I have most of a roof now but I'm stuck on the best way to build my 2 valleys . First plan was to use a grp valley but I think this wont work as the valley doesn't go to gutter level.

Can anyone advise ?

My builder says I need to lay 6x1 treated board direct on the felted rafters to support a lead valley which to be fair does sound better but never done lead work. The height of the 1 inch board worries me too in terms of tlies. .. they are Marley Ludlow Majors.

no reason not to use the grp. lead saddle is required top and bottom

Fitted it and building control won't sign off as I put the lay boards on top of the felt as instructed by my builder. Now I have to remove it all and do it again. Water still pouring into my house. Fed up.

Whaaaaat!
You would still have had to then cut the trapped existing felt regardless, in order to successfully integrate your new felt underneath it. I can't see how you can have batten and felted correctly without doing this. The initial new membrane run goes in line with the valley directly beneath the valley, then subsequent membrane layers lap onto it.

Old lath and felt cut back and valley supports in place....

Did you put support boards in between the rafters as mentioned in your other thread?
