Evening all

Would appreciate some expert advice!

I've just replaced our sink and tap with a new 'out the wall' type tap.

Having plumbed it all in there appears to be not pressure on the hot water side. If I take out all the pipe work and open up the isolation valve the water doesn't even come out! There is water up to the isolation valve but it doesn't want to go any further. Cold water side is fine.

I've attached a photo.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Assuming the isolation valve is on the old pipework near floor level:

1. Turn off hot water.
2. Remove isolation valve.
3. Turn on hot water briefly.

If water comes out the isolation valve is faulty. If no water comes out you have an issue further back in the pipework. If tank fed, have you shut the cold inlet to the base of the hot water cylinder and forgotten to turn it on again, or, if its a gate valve, has it failed? Do you get hot water from other outlets?
