hi all, appreciate the help in advance.

I need to make a standpipe for the builders that meets WRAS regulations and will be inspected by the water company. I have sorted out everything except one item. An in-line drain cock!

I don’t know if I am being daft but I can’t find one. Can anyone advise if I could use a compression T and the following item, putting that into the junction side it create the inline drain cock. It needs to meet BS2879.

If not can you point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers Fred, thought I was going daft...another question, it will be boxed but how have you normally insulated them, can’t believe normal foam insulation will cut it in the depths of winter.

the insulation we use is the gray foam one you can get it 35mm thick from a plumbing merchant. We tape this at every joint to prevent any gaps. This insulation dose not hold the water like to one the previous post has suggested. As for the tap normally we just have it mounted on a post as they often need to move during the build process. To insulat this last time we had two buckets one just big enough to go over the tap and post and the other about 4 inch bigger. We filled the gap between the two with foam. This ment the tap was always protected and easily accessible. Even with a hose attached. Fred
