Hi All.

I am refurbing my house, it has 4 bedrooms / 1 study / 1 lounge / 1 family/living area which is open plan to the kitchen, at the moment since the walls have just been skimmed, I have used white leyland paint which is suitable for new plaster as a mist coat/first coat.

I am looking for a white paint which glows or will liven the place up, I am a bit wary of using silk as I do not want any imperfections to be in my face, so i am happy with a Matt finish.

Any ideas on which kind of paint ?

Thanks in advance.

Tikkurila Optiva Colour, in white is very nice and white. Not a bad price either.

Robbie whats the Tikkurila like to use and where do you buy it from?

Or you could go for Dulux Matt, and make sure your light bulbs are up to scratch.

You want to go for a cool white led bulb, and that will enhance the walls etc. Brightness will be down to you, so dimmables, or sunglasses; your choice.

Thanks very much for this.
How about rooms where i am using just pendant lights ?

You're just going to have to look for equivalent lights, and a electrical trade shop will be better than somewhere like B&Q that has more halogen bulbs than leds.
