Plumber leaves for parts / tool

Is he back yet. He'll soon be on time and a half:eek:

Have you signed anything? Pay by traceable funds and get a receipt. Sign the job voucher with a not to say you are paying under duress. You then MAY have a comeback, of you wished to argue, having time to consider it.

To be fair, he may be stuck in traffic, had a crash or been arrested. He may be reasonable with the charges, but I would understand if you are getting concerned.

he may be in the pub or knocking shop getting paid £50 an hour for the pleasure

Well this bunch of crooks seem to have the OP worried enough to change his username and delete a thread on the same subject this morning.

I had a feeling the threads were connected. Weird.

Did you pay by credit card? If so don’t let them back in, and make a section 75 claim to your credit card provider.

Then get a recommendation for a plumber from someone you trust.

Or learn to do it yourself.
