Happy new year to you all. The Pieris was a present and I love it.

It is about 8/10 months old and the the leaves are drooping, also little colour compared to others in the garden.

If it is dying, What do I do to save it please?

it's fully hardy, but if I'm an exposed site (windy) it won't be enjoying it. it sounds like it may have wind burn. ah yes it's young, just re-read. Maybe some weighed down fleece or other wind protection

If it's a decent size specimen plant they can drop leaves the winter after transplanting. I had the same problem after moving one. Keep it watered.

Have taken all your advice it is now covered, kept watered (it hasn't stopped raining. Thank you all

You wanted to know how I got on.

I covered it, it was a windy and open spot. Looking rather better now.
Thank you all

Hello EddieM, you said let you know how I got on. It's not looking great, see attachments, other nearby Peiris's have got green leaves. It is watered, Perhaps it is not in a good place. Hope you enjoyed Easter.

That doesn't look well at all :( Looks like a fungal infection. So try some fungicide treatment and ensure the soil is suitable (acidic) if it doesn't respond I think it may be time to call time on it :(

I shall get some thank you Eddie. Your comments on acidic soil noted too.
Best
