Hi all,
I trust you I had a good Christmas and new year!

Does anyone have any light to throw on the brand door-stop doors?
The price is amazing with a 5-10 day turn around.

Looking on google the reviews are not kind!

Has anyone had any first hand experience with them?

We've fitted them and had no real problems, if its a cheap door you are after than thats what you will get BUT saying that that we also buy from Truedor/IG doors and the quality is better and the price not much more

Ive heard of truedoor, I’ll give them a whirl and look into if doors now!

Thank you!

No problems with doorstop, Have fitted hundred of their doors.
Of all my suppliers they are one of the fastest to sort problems. Any urgent parts usually arrive next day.

Its the same old story really ... you only see the bad reviews on the internet ... I bet thousands upon thousands have been fitted with no issues. I wonder how many of the ' bad ' ones are down to poor fitting .........

As I said we've never had an issue with the ones we've fitted, we just prefer Truedor and our prices are comparable between the two companies

Can I ask what you prefer about Truedoor? Have noticed a few people on window forums lately saying they were good.

I should have had a good look at their Fitshow stand but I had to avoid that one due to embarrassment.

The lads and I were standing by their stall and I said (somewhat loudly) "looks like an ok product but that *wat's face puts me off"
(The architect guy from tv that is all over their posters and adverts)

He was only standing right next to me giving me evils  oops!

The biggest difference for our guys is the glazing casstte. On Truedor the outside one seems to be fixed whereas the Doorstop ones have a habit of moving around ( we use a lot of bespoke decorative glass in ours ... seeing as we can offer it at a good price as we are an Sgo studio :) ). The actual slabs and hinges are the same....well at the moment as Truedor are having a new factory built so that they can make their own slabs

Other than the gaskets on the bottom splitting Ive never really had a problem and they have some new threshold gaskets now that will hopefully sort that. (was only a 5min job to change them anyway).

Have had the odd handle or gearbox breakdown but they always get a replacement to me next day.

The thing I love about Doorstop is the website, In 2 minutes I can log on and price a door with several options for the customer.
I can also order it with a few different frames to match windows too.

Just preference from our fitters i guess leads us to buy from Truedor. As you say Door Stop have a very user friendly trade area....in fact Truedor do to and again you can order straught from there . The two companies seem to work on very similiar strategies....

Fitted a few doorstop doors never had any issues really. We generally use solidor and I would say they are a slightly better door. That said I have not fitted a new doorstop solid core yet.
