Ive mentioned before my slight building error with my extension wall that is a continuation from an existing wall that is out of plumb. I ended building my new block wall plumb so it’s perfectly flush a DPC but just a tad under an inch set back at eaves level.

I’ve had suggestions before about camouflaging this, but I’m keen to try and flatten out this error when I render, likely sand/cement. I intend to use 2 stop beads either side of the existing/new wall as a movement joint, clearly with the new wall side built out.

Is there a maximum thickness of render? Is it wise to build up in layers? How many? I’ve been told reducing strength mixes as you build out. Or is this doomed to fail?

You will lose an inch over 3 coats..2 scratch and a finish, scratch coats at 4-1 and finish at 5-1..dont forget the waterproofer in the scratchcoat.

Ok , so is possible. What is the standard depth of render to a stop end or bead? The built up area will be that + 1”.
