As per title, what is the absolute best home alarm system available on the market? I need something that I can control/interact with my smart phone.

House is hard wired up. Already have Lorex cctv.

How Would you rate the Yale kit?

I need min 6 sensors

Thanks

Who will i react to your
absolute best home alarm system available
and how fast will they react. Unlikely they will be there in time to prevent the intruders getting away with whatever they have stolen.

For effective security you need to install things to prevent the burglars getting access to the valuable items in your home.

Sparky, I agree I didn't choose the best CCTV but I've had it a few years & it's too expensive to replace at the moment!

Yes will be trying to prevent burglary eg timers on lights, good locks on windows & doors, security lights etc but I still need a decent alarm system. Yale is clearly a no then. What would you recommend?

Just a question WHY do you need to control it with a smartphone / app ? Does it make it more secure ? No
Any decent hardwired system will do , if your thinking of going down the app route choose something that will continue to be supported and flexible.

Certainly not to rely on lights of any sort, timed or not.

That the last thing that lights are useful for is "trying to prevent burglary", the exact opposite though is the usual.

After all who is looking out of their windows, lights, on or not at 03:00 in the morning and on they are a great help to any burglar at any time in the dark

I mean say for example in the winter time a lamp to come on so my house isn't sat in darkness if I get caught up late at work. Surely a dark house with no car on the drive screams empty?

I would just like to know if the alarm was going off e.g. A text alert? I was burgled last year and didn't know until I got back 3 days later. I know that doesn't prevent the burglary

Texecom connect will allow you to turn on & off lights (lamps) via smart plugs controlled by the app which controls the alarm, you can also set up timers etc. You’ll also get notifications of set/unset & Alarm events. Best of all it’s a totally free service with no subscription. You’ll need a Texecom Premier Elite Control Panel running V4 firmware & a SmartCom Module.

I would Suggest Visonic Powermaster 30 with Camera Pirs so you can see why your alarm has activated and do something about it.
