Find out the rating on your fridge and freezer, and multiply them by 24. Take the TV, and multiply it by however long you have it on. Do an estimate of the lights etc, and I suspect you'll find that's the other 26Kw.
Maybe. My ~25kWh usually includes 2 fridges and 3 freezers, all the water heating and an awful lot of lights (albeit mainly LEDs/CFLs these days), plus all the usuals (Microwave, DW, WM, TVs, computers etc.).

Kind Regards, John

As well as doing the sums, look back on your old useage. You'll be using more lights this time of year, but a lot of things such as fidges etc are static.

thaks guys appreciated
You're welcome.

If your UFH really is using about 10kWh per day, then, at, say 16p/unit, that would be costing you almost £600 for the UFH (if you use it throughout the year).

Kind Regards, John

What? My fridge freezer is rated at 60w. But it doesnt use this continuously. It maybe uses that a quarter of the time.

OOI I use about 6 units per day. All my lights are leds. I have no electric heat except the oven. We have the telly on a good few hours a day (theres 3 of us) but thats only 60 watts.

Now I'm not saying I'm right, but it's all to often to assume an issue, and then have a fit when they find the usage is normal. My brother still has a 50" plasma screen, and the pictures goo enough for him to ignore the 545w power rating.

And if only every one was as efficient as you Steve, we wouldn't have a global warming issue.

Storage heaters aside, it is primarily heat-producing items that use a lot of electricity - immersion heaters, tumble dryers, cookers, fan heaters and other electrical heaters etc.
I know you said "other...heaters", but don't forget electric showers.

Long time no see, Steve! Hope you and yours are well. Can I swap my leccy bill with yours? There are 5 in our house, with 3 marauding teenage boys who just want to shower and cook all the time!

Kids, you love them but they'll bankrupt you. I've got a daughter that takes 25 minute showers; fortunately, it's gas, otherwise I'd put a timer in the electric shower circuit.

6 units is very low. We don't have much in the way of things that consume electricity but the average is around 20 units per day.

Our usage is slightly lower, but only 2 of us, and the only expensive items are dish washer, oven, and a 2kw radiant heater that we use for 5 mins at bed time.
Heating and hot water are gas, as is the hob.
Gas we use about 7 times as much in winter, but the cost is not greatly more.

That suggests if we moved to electric heating we would get a big bill shock over 100 pounds for a month, so I can believe it's possible to be surprised without realising.

i average 6 units a day
all led
anything in a room i dont use turned off
as an aside i have a sony and a samsung tv both the same size sony a bit older uses 100w samsung uses 44w so guess which one i use:D

Hopefully the Sony - Any recent Samsung TV is garbage.
