This unit is 7 years old, serviced yearly with landlords certificate.

Boiler has locked out, reset and it goes again.

just had new ignition probes.

Suggestion was Gas valve or requires stripping to clean out ash !

Any other thoughts what could be wrong.

Thanks for any help

Engineer job im afraid. Always worth checking there is gas on you would be suprised the number of callouts i get to tenanted properties where there is a fault to the card meter or the ecv has bern turned off when putting shopping away etc. Oh and the other favoutite turning the gas off at boiler when trying to top up via filling loop.

They assure me that they have NOT TOUCH any gas settings or boiler settings ( THEY ARE OAP's) Would you considered changing the gas valve ?, this will be done by a service engineer as it's a rental properly.

thanks

It needs properly diagnosing. anyone who says its the gas valve without doing some basic checks is just guessing im afraid
