Hello all, I had a bit of s damp plaster issue due to rain water from the roof. They fixed a broken tile and the plaster dried, though it is still not 100% dry. I need this area painted as it is holding up my kitchen renovation and management company might take a while to fix whatever the issue is with the roof or chimney.
I painted the damp areas with GARDZ sealer as you can use it on bare plaster, though contract paint just peels off it and vinyl matt wiped off it the next day, so not much grip. I sanded the gardz off now and think I will just paint the contract matt onto the plasteras mist coat. My only voncern is if the damp plaster will stain the white paint as it has done in some areas. As I said the plaster is dry but has a darjer tone to it that the rest and feels a tiny bit moist. Any advice as to how to treat this?
