I have a Laura Ashley light chandelier fitting that suddenly stopped working. I’ve checked that the fees into it is ok and have re-wired a standard pendent fitting in its place as a temporary stop gap until I manage to fix or replace the chandelier.
I think the reason why the chandelier isn’t working must be that the transformer has gone on it so I purchased a replacement. I can work out the mains power arrangements but can’t work out which wire is which from the cables going from the transformer to the lamp. There doesn’t seem to be any markings on the original or replacement transformer that makes it clear which should be which.
I’ve included some photos - the brown is the original transformer and the white the new one.
Also the original says 1.0 next the the feed from the transformer to the light whereas the new one says 1.5. I bought the transformer they said was a straight replacement. Is this an issue?
