Very slight leak between Cistern and Pan

I've a Duravit toilet that leaks very slightly when flushed, only seems to happen on a full flush.

It's always done this since I bought the house and I've lived with the drops of water on the floor, however, I replaced the flush this weekend as it stopped working (annoying 2.5" Gerberit thing that appears completely non standard) including a new foam gasket and it's doing exactly the same thing again.

Would I be a complete animal to consider adding an additional ring of Plumbers Mait around the outside of the foam gasket?

You shouldn't need to add p/ mate.if you have the correct washer. But if you want to add it you can ,it won't do any harm but its a bit of a bodge. Both faces of the washer ,rather than outside.

Usually down to the wrong sized doughnut as @terryplumb mentions or not tightened down evenly.

Struggled with mine for three weeks before I dismantle and found a tiny crack on the porcelain where flush pipe enters , meant flush was weeping onto floor and bypassing loo .

If you have just replaced they are usually all good. I agree not to use P/Mate. Does sound like there maybe a fault or crack in the pan. Or a small drip from the cistern feed? Water does travel...

Tried another new washer and still the same. Pulled the pan and discovered a very small manufacturing defect that had been previously superglued at the back which was leaking

Used some epoxy to fix/bodge it, seems watertight now when flushed now.
