Worcester 28i rsf combi not working!

Ordered a reconditioned pcb off ebay £50 fitted it myself job done.

It loses pressure at a rate of about 1 bar every few hours and has done the past few months, when i recharged the expansion vessel it didnt drop at all the first 24hours but slowly started losing pressure back to the way it was before i did it, faulty vessel?

Your pressure relief valve may be letting water out ,see if water is dripping from the copper relief pipe outside. Incidentally ,when you charged up the EV ,did you depressurize the system before hand ?

No not dripping, and yes depressurised it first.

1. Check pressure at EV ,is it the same as it was when you charged it ?
2. If it is then you may have a leak on CH side , pipes / valves /rads etc.
3. If no leak on system then boiler heat exchanger would be suspect.
4. If EV pressure has dropped to 0 since you charged it a few days ago then it obviously isn't holding charge and will need replacing.

More trouble with this boiler!

Been working fine for a week, although needing to top pressire up every few hours.

Tonight the pilot seems to be cutting out intermittent then starting up for a few mins then out again, any ideas? Will this be related to the EV losing pressure?

Prv pipe is dripping away outside, pressure dropping rapidly, can actually see the needle moving.

Replacing the pressure release valve should cure this yes?

Sensible suggestion from Hason, but try this next. And are you topping up the inhibitor.
Thanks il try that today, silly question but do i need to shut the water off before removing the valve? Or would just dumping the water via the prv be enough?

Yeah, make sure the flow and return valves under the boiler are turned off, then open the prv - your going to service it, so getting dirt under the seals irrelevant.

Yes, but don't touch the isolation valves below the boiler, unless you want more leaks. Are you sure the EV is still holding its pressure?

But if you don't isolate the boiler somehow, then water from the upper rads will leak out from the PRV seating whilst you work on it, so if you don't turn off the valves, then wedge a rag into the seating when you remove the PRV.

Tried taking it apart like in the video but for some reason the whole insert of the valve just turns when i get grips on it like its not threaded
