I'm having the back of my house insulated and rendered, bell box will have to come off.
I don't know the make and model, it was installed by a Nottinghamshire company called 'cables electrical' they have a couple of shops and a few vans operating in the area. It was fitted around 5 years ago, wired system with lock & unlock keyring and only one keypad upstairs.
Anyway, I can turn off the power supply to the box but I'm sure there will be a back up battery in there. Is that removable?
Hopefully it's as simple as turning power off and pulling that battery out once the alarm cover is off. Or maybe tape over the spring that holds the tamper switch in?
The rendering man says he hates alarms.
