Leak/hole on outer drum of washing machine, possible repair?

My LG washing machine started leaking last week. I opened the back up and looks like a coin got in between the inner & outer drum. Long story short the the coin is still embedded in the outer drum with water leaking out.

I have had the machine for 8 years and looks like I might be better off buying a new one considering that a new outer drum costs about £115 excluding labour.

So I was wondering if there are products on the market that I can use to patch/repair the hole that might work before resigning myself to needing a new machine

I did use car filler years ago to seal a hole in a hotpoint outer drum. It lasted a couple of months. Probably best to buy a new machine.

Waterproof wet grab adhesive and patch it with a piece of sheet plastic, ideally from the inside.

if the coin is still embedded the inner drum must have put it there so a fair chance in an unballanced or fast spin may just "hammer" it worse or knock out the repair

@Madrab i wont be able to get to the inside of the outer drum without stripping the whole machine. This wont be possible without some tools i found being used on youtube

Ah, plastic. I thought it was metal. Get some mole grips or pliers on that and pull it out or at least bend it over so it cant come loose and then use some araldite or epoxy resin over the hole.

as said by motman pull out if possible etc
roughen up the area before filling and look for possible cracks leading from the damage and and leave a 3-5mm thick layer 10-15mm beyond any part off the crack to help support and stop leaks

CT1 will be your friend here. I temporarily repaired a pin hole in a copper cylinder with it. After replacing the cylinder I couldn't get the CT1 off to look at the hole.
