Hi,

I live in a new build with flexi pipe going to the rads. They come out of the wall behind a plastic cover and go to the radiator valves that way.

Is there a way I can keep this configuration and replace the existing radiator with a tower radiator without making the pipes come out at each outlet and have to cut/re-route them?

I was thinking some kind go cover/bar but unsure if anything is on the market?

Cheers

Usually the pipes are rerouted so that they are concealed in the wall or under the floor for safety and to prevent a possibility of the flexible pipes getting entangled in the towels. Any cover would serve to fill in the gap behind and prevent the towels fitting between the wall and the towel warmer.

Before you proceed though, just be aware that a towel warmer will only emit about one third of the heat that a single radiator of the same size does. And that's when it's uncovered. It will reduce down further to almost nothing when it is covered with fluffy insulating towels. So, unless your bathroom is super warm without the radiator on, I would leave the existing radiator in situ and install the towel warmer separately with concealed pipes elsewhere, otherwise you may find that it is cold in there.

Thanks for the reply.

Never thought about the heat output for some reason. Doh.

Think I will put the brakes on this one for now and do it properly in a few years when I will inevitably be blagged into re-doing the entire bathroom again and actually run a seperate feed and stick it on the other side of the room.

Cheers
