The fault must be inherent with the PCB because no settings have been altered & yet the fault rectified all on it's own which is similar to a
fault we had on the ECU on a nissan which had a short on the 'tow plug' and it would not start but as soon as the fault was cured the engine management light went off and it started.......... Nice. Will Vailant or Gloworm admit to a PCB design fault?

I have the same fault on a Gloworm HXI 18 which I believe is the same as your fault due no doubt to the PCB's being the same. The PCB is on a par with a computer re temperature evaluation as you have probably found out anyway but did you get the circuit board to function correctly or did you have to replace that circuit board? I am a retired Commercial Heating engineer now 77 & I find these new fangled condensing boilers a nuisance & far too complex re the electronics for their own good. However when we have one we have to live with them & it's pleasant that we can see others that have solved the problem without too much of a headache..... This fault on this circuit board is intermittent because it was faulty for 6 months then rectified itself for a further 6 months but has now become faulty again. I'm glad I don't have one of these at home and that it's in our static caravan and the weather is not too cold when we are in it.... It kept us warm enough when it was faulty but I'd like to see it functioning as it should.
