Hi
Im getting all my windows replaced on a cottage. There are 6 vertical sliders and 6 casement windows.
Are the vertical sliders/glass/weights etc worth anything? (to a reclamation yard for example). Or is it best to let the window company dispose of them?
Thanks

The problem is the installers would take much longer to get out whole, so would probably want more money to do it.

The weights are prob cast iron and worth nothing.

If they are very old and have crown glass, that might be worth something - but very difficult to deglaze without breaking.

The folk down on the local allotments might like them for making cold-frames/cloches.

dhframes, your spamming the forum.
all the poster will get is ripped off by a national co. sleezy salesman.
the ref. you give has no contact details, but theyd like your contact details.

I’m well aware of the outcome you’ll get from filling in the contact form.

If you follow this board regularly, you’ll be well aware of the opinions I have for the nationals

The emojis failed to come out, I’ve now amended
In summary, I am in no way recommended this link but laughing at the 2.5k bullshit scrapage option that’s so say available.
Just another way for them to get their foot in your door

Safestyle: 'it really is free fitting' :)

Or 'you buy one, you get one free'

Or Everest: 'buy this month, we pay the VAT'

Blimey 2.5k scrappage, i could of got my house done for free, no in fact they'd end up owing me money ha ha!

I think it’s Zenith this one, had a customer fill in the form.
They call you to ask for your location, and then go down their list of “trusted approved companies” and select one which has a discounted deal on at the present.
10mins later Zenith ring to arrange an appointment

You know how the rest plays out
