Please advise ref upgrading BT home hub 3 infinity to Home hub 4.

I am currently using BT Home Hub 3 infinity and have been given a BT Home Hub 4 modem, which I am advised is compatable. my question relates to the additional White box that is used in conjunction with the exsisting Home Hub 3.
The white box is identified as NGI ECI CPE MODEMS Type !B Item Code 06513 .Item is connected via internet cable red socket LAN 1 to the BT Home Hub 3 BT infinity.
Please confirm that the BT Home Hub 4 is compatable and should the white box be connected to the Home Hub 4 Box ?

I use an unlocked Openreach modem with a HH5 as it does a better more stable job of managing the connection (plus other things if you run a home network or two).
