Copper pipe route & joining - 2 "T"s or an &qu

Hi folks,

I need to take two additional supplies from hot and cold water pipes (upstairs) for a sink and washing machine (downstairs) in different rooms. I'll be running the new branches through ceilings and down walls.

Can anyone tell me which is the best approach?

1. Take two equal Ts from each of the water pipes, one for sink and one for WM.

2. Take one equal T from each of the pipes and connect another equal T to the branch from that one (kind of giving an H), so the sink supply can go off one way and the WM the opposite way.

Method 1 means using a bit more pipe.

Method 2 means an extra joint or two and I guess a heavier branch, but since it will be supported by clips is it ok?

Personally Iwould choose method 2 why use more pipe

Sorry I got that the wrong way round!

Method 2 would use more pipe - an extra 0.5m per pipe to reach the Ts.
