Hi
Just spent an arm & a leg getting new shower installed , just cleaned bathroom today ( yes i had a lazy week) & noticed the sink is covered in thin splashes of something that has set hard. Im suspecting watery grout not rinsed away. The job was done a a week & a half ago - i think my chances of proving it to the big well known London company - that it was not like that before the plumber was here are virtually none!
So any clues, ideas what i could use to try & get it off? Ive read about some Hagesan? Products & something called sulphamic? Acid but i dont want to go gung ho & find I have a dissolved sink dripping on the floor. Im not impressed to say the least the sink is not even 2 years old. Any help most appreciated.
Thanks

Usually the products are already in your cleaning collection

Cif cream cleaner, the one with micro crystals and a not to abrasive (used) damp scourer pad sponge will work.

Test a hidden area first, you may have some fancy type of sink or basin (y)

I've just done a tile job at my inlaws, grout all over the place! I used cif and lots of elbow greese, comes off no issue at all

Anything that's acidic. Lemon Juice, Vinegar or off the shelf limescale stuff

Thanks all much appreciated...the £-1700 ouch ...for whole new shower innards,re tiling etc...but was quoted not far off that from 3 other companies. Yes Pimlico, but they've done a few jobs for me & compared to some others I've used I've found them reliable .....start,finish do what they say ( apart from this time - grout down the sink trick !)........ at the price they quote. Have had several disappearing plumbers in past & rip off experience of 3 to not fix a leaky loo last year ( til Pimlico fixed it finally). My sink is a sink - white thing ? porcelain ?ceramic - modern square sort of shape but not marble, slate, stone, glass or 18k gold.
thanks again

,if you ever see tiler ,fitter ,etc washing grout or cleaning tools and sponges down the sink/bath /toilet /shower /(.gully in road its Illegal )...throw them off the job immediatly and dont pay them .until you have a proper tradesman come and clean all your traps and waste pipework, deduct cost from their invoice It aint called waterproof grout on the tub/bag for nothing ,I have cleared loads of these over the years after so called tradesman/women,
