Different opinions

I've had 2 builders come out and quote for my above garage extension, and both have different opinions on the existing single brickwall.
Over the complete 5 meters the wall over hangs 1inch all the way along. One builder said fine and wants to build on top the second wants to knock it down and rebuild.
The wall contains the boxes for the electric and gas meter.
Any opinions of which way to go? Thanks

You need a designer, not a builder.

Build on top of existing wall, but don't think the architect noticed this as the stones where right up to wall?

A 1inch overhang is usually of no consequence.

I don't even understand what we are looking at or what is supposed to be going on.

Build on what? Why? What's wrong with that wall? Cream or jam on first?
